We are looking for candidates with a strong background of professional experience, either in a public, private or regulatory environment, in applying Behavioural Economics theory in real-world contexts. You would ideally also possess a postgraduate degree in a behavioural science related discipline.

The successful candidate will need to be at ease with distilling complex academic research into actionable insight and practical tools, frameworks and approaches for clients and be able to demonstrate considerable knowledge and experience of delivering successful projects that drive meaningful and sustained behavioural change.

Responsibilities

  • Managing behavioural teams and projects
  • Applying specialist behavioural knowledge in within larger consultancy assignments (eg deals, due diligence) and sharing expertise with the wider team, the firm and our external stakeholders and clients
  • Upskilling the team, including running and supporting the provision of training sessions and learning opportunities in Behavioural Economics for the benefit of the wider Economics team
  • Originating thought leadership and create ideas for new research and propositions that advance PwC’s Behavioural Economics offering
  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff to aid their progression
  • Drafting reports and submissions based on client commissions
  • Leading sessions to promote the Behavioural Economics offering within the firm and to external clients

Requirements

  • A strong academic background, considerable professional experience and a demonstrable interest and enthusiasm for behavioural science
  • At least 5 years’ experience in consulting or internal advisory roles that employed behavioural insight; could be within either a public, private or regulatory environment
  • Must possess a Masters and/or PhD in behavioural economics, behavioural science, experimental economics, applied psychology, social data science or a related discipline, or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
  • The ability to provide expert guidance on how to change or improve a programme or project based on behavioural science insights and/or methodology
  • The ability to originate thought leadership and creative ideas for new research
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills, including stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
